Budget question. If additional CAT5 cable is used does it count against the budget?

Shanklincj Thank you. All additional materials, supplies, and items that are directly or indirectly connected to the competition ROV or used in support of the ROV or auxiliary equipment count against the budget.

          1. Buck converters will not be allowed for the 2020 SP Challenge stock class. A resistor may be used to reduce voltage/current, but no electronic circuitry in Stock class.

            1) Is this specifically for thrusters or does this also rule out use of the buck (step down) converters for servos/controllers in stock class? Our teams have been using step down converters because servos and controllers operate at 6v.
            2) Can AA batteries be used for auxiliaries if they are not connected or ran through to the ROV controller?

Shanklincj Sorry for not clarifying. No buck converters for thrusters. Non thruster control may use anything within the budget.
AA batteries or other batteries that are 12VDC or under and meet the battery rules are allowed.
