  • Multiple vehicles

We are trying to balance a lot of different factors with the new venue. If you're a team that would like to enter two vehicles into the competition, we'd want to hear about it.

Could you post here that you would like to enter two vehicles as well as the approximate size and weight for each vehicle?
    Awesome! Thanks.

    Hi Dave,

Team SONIA would be pleased to enter with two vehicles this year!

    Our first vehicle has a box dimension ( L W H) of (0.82 X 0.75 X 0.28) meters and weigh 45 kg.
    Our second vehicle has a box dimension (L W H) of (0.76 X 0.38 X 0.30) meters and weigh 33 kg.

More details of our vehicles can be found on our website.

        Hey Dave,

Team Unsinkable would like to enter with the following two vehicles:

        Nautilus - 39.5" x 19.25" x 16.75"
        Cuttlefish (BlueROV Heavy Configuration) - 18.0" x 23.25" x 10.0"

We don't have a scale in our lab (yet) so I can't give an exact number for weight but Nautilus is roughly 80ish pounds and Cuttlefish is around 30 pounds.

Cuttlefish is currently our backup/testing vehicle so we don't know 100% if we will be entering it or not. Right now the plan is to enter both, but depending on time constraints we may only enter with Nautilus.

            Hello Dave.

The Cornell University team is planning on bringing two vehicles. The primary vehicle is 35'' x 25'' x 15'' and weighs 67 pounds. The secondary vehicle is 34'' x 23'' x 14'' and weighs 37 pounds.

            Thank you.

                Hi Dave,

AVBotz would like to register two subs:

                Nemo: 35 in x 25 in x 20 in, 60 lbs
                Marlin: 33 in x 34 in x 22 in, 75 lbs

Right now, we are planning to only take one of the subs to comp, apologies for the late reply!

                Thanks,
                AVBotz

So you're registering two different subs, but only one will be at the competition?

                      Hi everyone,

To comply to the team handbook, we are posting the methods and frequencies use for the inter-vehciule communication.

We are using one modules on each AUV that are communicating between the frequencies of 187kHz and 218kHz.

Daveman is this post at the right place?

                      Thank you,
                      SONIA AUV
