  • WAM-V 3D Model

Hi Everyone! I'm leading a new team at the University of Michigan. Does anyone have a 3D model of the WAM-V that they would be willing to share with us?

We have a few public models, depending on what you are looking for...
    - The Embry-Riddle team was kind enough to share a detailed SolidWorks model with us. I imagine they'd allow us to share that with the UMich team as well.
    - The Osaka team has a git repository with a detailed 3D mesh (~400,000 vertices) at https://github.com/OUXT-Polaris/robotx_packages
    - We are getting to release our preliminary ROS/Gazebo simulation environment for RobotX. This includes both a visual and collision models - simplified 3D meshes with ~3,000 vertices which is very nice for simulation work. You can preview that at https://bitbucket.org/osrf/vmrc

Let me know what you are looking for and we'll see if we can find something that works.

Here is a link to our model, which teams are free to use. We do ask that the teams do not share the model outside of the competition.

This is a rigid body model of the WAM-V, but there are also some minor conflicts, such as the deck interfering with the rear arch.

Our team also needs the 3D model of the WAM-V.
This web can not be opened, could you give another web? Thank you very much.

I was able to successfully download the file. As the file is large (43Mb) it will not let you preview it, you must download it.

Kindly try again and let me know if you run into any issues.

            Thank you
